My artistic practice delves into the interplay between light and shadow, the human and the artificial, and the tangible and the intangible. This exploration echoes themes prevalent in certain dystopian narratives that blur the lines between reality and illusion, mirroring my own fascination with the grey areas and the unseen potential residing between established concepts.
Additionally, I find captivating visuals and compelling stories from bygone eras deeply inspiring. This fascination extends to the works of various thinkers who explore the complexities of perception, reality, and the potential of the human mind. My strongest aesthetic influences, however, stem from movements like Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Arts and Crafts, along with those retro-future styles captured in Raygun Gothic. These styles' emphasis on elegance, functionality, and the integration of art and life deeply resonate with my artistic vision.
This blend of influences fuels my passion for creating interactive experiences that bridge the gap between the virtual and the physical world. I seamlessly combine both new media and analog media to create immersive experiences, urban games, and augmented reality projects. I utilize readily available and accessible technologies to foster a sense of community engagement and draw individuals out into the public realm for shared experiences and collective meaning-making.
